A West Cork Town Could Become The First In Ireland To Build A Rainbow Coloured Zebra Crossing

The crossings are in support of the LGBT+ community

Members of the West Cork Municipal District Council are proposing to build the crossing at the entrance to Spiller's Lane in Clonakilty.

The brightly coloured crossings can already be found in London, the US, Austria, and parts of Canada.

The idea is pending approval from he Department of Transport as standardised designs would have to be changed.
