A wet, cloudy and damp weekend is forecast with the potential for coastal flooding in Cork tomorrow
The worst of the weather is expected on Saturday morning and the low pressure combined with high tides is expected to lead to flooding across Cork county
The Council is on standby and is advising property owners to take the usual precautions while the City Council say there could be minor flooding on low lying city centre quays
Speaking to RedFM News Mark Bowe from Met Eireann says the combination of low pressure and high tides means people should be prepared for some flooding
"It's generally a wet, cloudy and damp weekend, right across the entire country but particularly in the southwest where you will see tonight and into Saturday we do have an area of low pressure. Now that coupled with high tide is going to lead potentially to some coastal inundation and potentially some coastal flooding there"
