A woman in her 20s is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries following a suspected assault in the city.
A house at Evergreen Road close to Turner's Cross remains sealed off this afternoon.

"The incident happened at a house close to the city centre after 9 am this morning, emergency services were called to the scene, and a woman is receiving treatment for her injuries at Cork University Hospital. The street has been cordoned off for a technical examination, and a helicopter has been seen flying over the area".
