A woman who is HIV positive is calling for an immediate change to IVF services in Ireland.

Ainara Pedroso who is trying to conceive can’t access IVF here because there are no labs that can provide services for people who have HIV.

Legally there must be separate storage facilities for samples from any infectious diseases.

Speaking to RedFM News, Ainara Pedroso who is living in Macroom says it’s impossible for her to get IVF in Ireland:

"I'm trying to conceive right now, it's impossible to get IVF in Ireland right now. The EU requires countries need to have a separate lab for people with HIV or other infectious diseases. Ireland doesn't have it."
