Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident which happened in Dungarvan yesterday afternoon on private property in the town.
The infant boy from Waterford is in a critical condition at Cork University Hospital, following a road traffic collision on a private property between 6 and 7pm on Friday evening.
A statement from Gardaí outlines that the boy “appeared to have been involved in a collision with a vehicle.”
The air ambulance made an emergency landing on the Youghal Bridge to facilitate an airlift of the young boy to CUH, where he remains in a critical condition as a result of the incident.
Gardaí say they are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the incident and will be providing no further information at this time.
