Jessica from Mayfield says initially her youngest child developed a skin rash after being washed in rusty, brown water which required medical treatment
Uisce Eireann initially blamed a chemical treatment regime, and more recently blamed a change in the pumping regime, for dislodging deposits in old pipes
Jessica says she has had to replace appliances, taps and she has been forced to buy bottled water to drink as she can't drink the tap water
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Jessica says her GP believes there is a link between the water and her two daughters ongoing gastro bugs and skin rashes
"When the water started going brown in Summer 2022, about two weeks later my daughters started breaking out in rashes. I brought them to the doctor and I told him about the water being dirty and he said it's definitely from that. They are covered in this rash, it's all over their legs and their arms and they are itchy from it and they are are waking up at night crying"
