ALDI will plant close to 82,000 trees in Cork this month.
It comes as they have teamed up with Greenbelt and local land owners ahead of the opening of their new store in Clonakilty.
The supermarket is the first retailer in Ireland to commit to planting 1 million trees by 2025, creating a wildlife corridor for native species while removing 160,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.
The trees will be planted across Dromnagopple, Coolroe East and Gubeen.
