Aldi have announced 30 new jobs for the city.
The discount retailer says it will open a second store in Blackrock in 2024 on the Skehard Road.
30 jobs will come on stream and 50 will be created during the construction phase of the new store and development of 28 residential units and a cafe.
Aldi say they will be submitting plans for the 1,300 square foot store to Cork City Council.
The store will be powered by 100% green electrcity from solar panels on the roof and will include 86 parking spaces and 10 bike parking spaces.
Aldi currently operates 23 stores in Cork and sourced €68.5 million of locally produced food and drink from Cork based suppliers.
