Almost 6,400 Cork properties in the Templemartin area can now pre-order a high-speed fibre broadband connection.
The National Broadband Plan will deliver minimum speeds of 500 megabits per second to homes, businesses, farms, and schools.
The area covers the rural surrounds of Bandon and Ballincollig.
County Cork is receiving 314 million euro of investment under the National Broadband Plan.
