An Bord Pleanála has ruled out holding an oral hearing into the GAA’s controversial revamp plans for Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The company which runs the stadium had requested an oral hearing of its appeal against City Council’s decision last summer to refuse planning permission for the stadium project.
The plans included two car parks on public land, interior changes to allow for it' use as a conference centre, a GAA museum and
a visitor experience centre.
But city planners said the proposed car park sites are within an area designated to be part of the Marina Park, the first phase of which is set to open next week.
The Irish Examiner reports the board will make make a decision in February without an oral hearing.
