The cross on top of the church was damaged in high winds brought by storms over the weekend.
The 15 foot high cross, which was added to the church in 1962, is tilting as a result.
The fundraiser, which is on gofundme.com, is hoping to raise €10,000 for the repair of the cross,
Weekday mass services have resumed, however with larger gatherings such as funerals entry onto the church grounds is for immediate family only until the cross has been repaired.
