The factory in Hollyhill was first opened in November 1980 with 60 employees and now employs over 6,000 people from over 90 countries.
Apple set up their Giving programme in Cork in 2015 which has supported more than 400 registered charities in Ireland.
Employees from Hollyhill have also been volunteering at the nearby Terence MacSwiney Secondary School for the past five years, helping students to learn coding, music, photography and video.
However the tech giant's Irish operations have also been criticised in recent years.
In July the EU's General Court overturned a ruling ordering Apple to pay €13 billion in back taxes.
The European Commission took a case against Apple in 2016, after it said the government had given it illegal tax breaks.
