Earlier this week the Office of Public Works released new interpretations of what Mardyke Walk, Grand Parade, and Anderson's Quay will look like after the scheme is implemented.
The scheme, which was originally exhibited in 2017, would protect over 2,100 properties between Inniscarra dam and the City Centre.
The plans have been criticised by the Save Cork City group who claim the scheme could ruin the aesthetic of the City.
However the OPW claims the scheme will not block river views and will enhance connectivity to the river by providing almost 1km of new river walkways.
