It feels problems with water quality
Cork County Council and Irish Water have issued a boil notice, following a consultation with HSE.
The notice was issued last night to homes and businesses supplied by the Whitegate Regional Public Water Supply.
It has been put in place due to an issue with the filtration process at the Kilva Water Treatment Plant.
Irish Water has apologised to those impacted.
