A pub owner in Ballintemple says he had to check if news of his bar being demolished was a late April fools joke.
The Luas Cork preferred route was launched yesterday and Transport Infrastructure Ireland sent out letters to inform anyone affected by the 18 kilometre route running from Ballincollig to Mahon.
Speaking to RedFM News, Con Dennehy who owns the Venue Bar on Blackrock Road says he had no prior knowledge that his bar was going to be knocked down:
"I didn't believe it, I thought it was an April fools joke, I went to the pub to find a letter with a map and brochure saying the pub was going to be CPO'd and demolished. And we didn't know about this."
