A lifeboat crew came to the rescue of six people on board a yacht with mechanical issues off the coast of Ballycotton in the early hours of this morning.
Ballycotton RNLI was called out to a nine metre yacht called 'Jaffa' that locked its propeller when it struck a lobster pot marker.
Rescue boat coxswain Eolan Walsh says the crew 'stayed calm' and made a 'correct decision' to request assistance from the Coast Guard.
The RNLI crew that arrived was able to free the entangled propellor and sail the yacht back to shore for finishing touches to the repairs.
