The casualty was brought onboard the lifeboat before being handed over to the care of the National Ambulance Service.
The volunteer lifeboat crew, who regularly provide medivacs for people living on Sherkin, Cape Clear and Heir Islands, launched at ten to eight following a request from the Coast Guard to provide medical assistance to an individual living on the island.
