Baltimore RNLI last night provided their second medical evacuation from Cape Clear within a week.
The volunteer lifeboat crew launched their all-weather lifeboat at 5.30pm, following a request from the Irish Coast Guard to provide a medi-vac for a man on the island.
The crew at North Harbour on Cape Clear Island within 20 minutes and after assessing the casualty he was transferred onboard the lifeboat. The lifeboart returned to Baltimore at 6.30pm and the man was then handed over to the care of HSE Ambulance crew.
Just last week Baltimore RNLI carried out a medi-vac for a child living on Cape Clear.
