Businesses in Bandon are being encouraged to apply for funding from the County Council.
€100,000 was given to Cork County Council with the hope of making Bandon a more 'vibrant and colourful' town.
Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys announced that twenty six towns across the country are set to benefit from the financial backing, which is part of the 'Streetscape Enhancement Initiative', aiming to make towns and villages in rural Ireland more attractive to live, work and visit.
Local authorities in Bandon are now accepting applications for grants from retailers and property owners.
