Bantry General Hospital says visiting at the hospital remains temporarily suspended.
The hospital says the move is due to the high number of presentations to their Acute Medical Assessment Unit and increased infection control measures.
Visiting will only be allowed in exceptional circumstances such as for critically ill patients, end of life patients and the parents of children in the paediatric unit.
Management say the situation- which does not affect St. Josephs Residential Unit- will be reviewed on an on-going basis.
