Tomorrow's Black Lives Matter protest in the City has been cancelled.
The organisers say protests can be carried out safely with PPE and stewards to enforce physical distancing, however they feel the threat of prosecution for organisers and participants left them with no choice but to call off the event.
Gardaí in Dublin launched an investigation into the organisation of a similar protest in Dublin earlier this week.
The organisers say that as of now, next Monday's Black Lives Matter protest on Grand Parade is going ahead.
