Community group Young Knocknaheeny are hosting todays virtual event at 11am.

'Dolly Parton's Imagination Library' sends a free book to children every month up to the age of five, with each book chosen to meet the needs of children as they grow.

3,000 children in Knocknaheeny, Hollyhill, Gurranabraher, Churchfield, Mahon, Carrigtwohill, Ashbourne House and Kinsale Road Direct Provision centres are set to benefit from the launch.

Dolly Parton says she's delighted to offer children in Cork the chance to take part:

"Welcome aboard Ireland! I have always felt at home in Ireland because there's such a strong connection between us hillbillies and you hillbillies.

We do share a connection forged in our love of faith, family and song. And you know what we both say; marry a mountain girl and you marry the whole mountain.

So everyone here is all in on helping you grow the programme, from Dublin to Cork and back again."
