An Bord Pleanála has upheld a County Council decision - denying planning for a major service station on the outskirts of Mallow.
The developers had hoped to build on the former ESSO garage site on the N20 at the Limerick side of the town.
Their proposal included a drive-through restaurant, EV charging stations, external seating areas, as well as a shop and delicatessen.
An Bord Pleanála said the service station would have had a negative impact by drawing business away from the town centre.
The developers denied this.
