A brand new accessible fishing facility has opened in West Cork.
Inland Fisheries Ireland has launched the platform near Skibbereen, so wheelchair users can fish safely.
It's located at Shepperton Lake and cost €106,000 euro to build.
Inland Fisheries Ireland Cork District Inspector John Twomey describes what it's like:
"There's a pathway down to a bespoke jetty, which is a steel structure. It's specifically designed for wheelchair users. It's got the safety railings around and it goes through the Irish Wheelchair Association's specifications, so the access is there now for them to extend it out into the lake so they're actually right on the fishing".
