Fresh calls have been made urging the owners of the Blarney Golf resort to pay redundancy, holiday and notice payments immediately to the 30 workers who have lost their jobs at the hotel.
Solidarity TD Mick Barry made the call as he says he has been made aware that the sale of the hotel is at an "advanced stage"
The Cork TD claims that a planning application is being made this week to the local authority for permission to change the use of the hotel building from a hotel to a nursing home.
This information is said to have been contained in an email issued to golf club members last night which also states that the golf club, clubhouse and houses will remain in the hands of the current owner.
It is understood that workers who applied for their entitlements after the closure of the hotel and leisure centre have received statutory redundancy payments but not their holiday
pay.
Speaking to RedFM News Deputy Barry says the workers need to be paid their full entitlements before any sale is concluded
