The call has come from the family of a man whose body was recovered there last December after he was brutally murdered
Calls have been made for the demolition of a house on the Boreenmanna Road where the body of a man who was brutally murdered was discovered at the end of December last year
64 year old Frankie Dunne's partially dismembered body was found in the grounds of the house on December 28th last
The father of three was originally from Churchfield Avenue in Knocknaheeny but had been living in a supported housing unit on the Boreenmanna Road run by Cork Simon
At the time of the discovery of Frankie's body, locals said the house had been derelict for more than a year since the previous occupant, a woman who lived there on her own, went into a nursing home.
This morning gardai, investigating the murder of Frankie Dunne, released without charge a 54 year old man who they were questioning on suspicion of assisting a suspect to flee the country before officers could arrest him for questioning about the murder. A file will now be prepared for the DPP
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Frankie's sister Monica Butler Dunne says the house where her brother was found is not fit for purpose and she's calling for it to be demolished
