Campaigners are hoping all remaining maternity restrictions will be lifted after a meeting this afternoon.
Better Maternity Care is holding talks with the HSE over the issue.
Restrictions remain in place in hospitals despite the widespread easing of public health measures last weekend.
Better Maternity Care's Linda Kelly is living in Cork and says she's hoping for an immediate solution today.
"What we're hoping for this afternoon is that we'll be able to end all remaining maternity restrictions.
"At the moment, people still have to attend all maternity appointments on their own, the only exceptions are the 12 week scan and the 20 week scan, and some early pregnancy assessment unit appointments in certain cases.
"We're hoping that in the light of the recent of advice from NPHET that we'll be able to remove those restrictions."
