Carrigaline Fire Brigade responded to a truck on fire on the Ballinrea Road this morning.
The articulated lorry was travelling between the Shannon Park Roundabout and Ballinrea Crossroads when it caught fire at around 9.30am.
Fire crews from Carrigaline Fire Station tackled the blaze and the road was closed off.
No injuries have been reported and Gardaí say the road will reopen once the truck has been removed.
