Castletownbere and Baltimore RNLI were called out yesterday
The RNLI at Castletownbere had to launch a lifeboat yesterday to help a lone sailor who injured himself.
The incident happened just after 7pm off the coast of Bere Island in West Cork.
The injured man was treated by paramedics while members of the lifeboat crew sailed his yacht back to harbour.
Baltimore RNLI were also called yesterday to a boat on fire off Sherkin Island.
The volunteer lifeboat crew arrived to find the occupants of the rib had already been removed to another vessel and all were safe.
