Changes have been made to the National Transport Authority’s BusConnects plan, following pressure from the public.
The €600m plan features 12 sustainable transport corridors, and was published for public consultation last June.
The Irish Examiner report that there will be significant changes to the plans in revised designs, after several communities expressed anger over the potential felling of trees, the loss on on street car parking spaces and the compulsory acquisition of private property.
Pearse Road meanwhile is no longer part of the Togher to City Sustainable Transport Corridor.
The revised plans are bing published today for public consultation, and members of the public will have an 8 week window in which to give their feedback.
