The Christmas lights are to be turned on in the city this week.
Although there will be no public event to mark the occasion over 50 Christmas Trees and over 7 kilometres in lights will bring festive cheer to the city.
City Council have also announced the return of GLOW, A Cork Christmas Celebration which will take place over
four weekends begining on Friday 26th November.
Bishop Lucey Park is being transformed into a festive wonderland and will focus on The Twelve Days of Christmas.
The 30m Ferris Wheel will also return and will remain in place until early January.
