City buskers are set to have a 10pm curfew and a two hour performance limit.
New draft bylaws are set to be approved by the City Council next week.
Buskers will also have to hold a permit, and have a gap between performances and play at 75 decibels.
Cork City Street Performers formed so buskers could have their say and welcome the relaxation on rules to do with backing tracks, digital payments and permit fee limits.
Speaking to RedFM News, Secretary Paul Doherty says buskers understand the limitations:
"We recognise that we wouldn't win everything in terms of keeping busking as an entirely free and open pursuit. So we understand where the council is coming from and other stakeholder, and we were expecting limitations. I think we've managed to influence the outcome in a way that's been helpful for other buskers and will promote the busking scene in Cork."
