A yellow rainfall warning has been put in place for Cork.
The alert will stay in place until 6 o'clock on Friday morning.
Cork City Council say they are continuing to monitor the city's flooding situation as a status yellow rainfall warning for Cork is set to take effect from midnight tonight.
The council says it has been following weather alerts and have been consulting with key local stakeholders.
They say any widespread pluvial, fluvial or tidal flooding in the City Centre is not being predicted at this time but depending on the rainfall intensity, there may be spot flooding on roads in prone areas.
