Home and business owners on low lying streets in the city centre are being advised to take the usual precautions this evening due to a risk of localised flooding.
The City Council has issued an advisory ahead of the Spring tide this evening as there are concerns that it could lead to flooding along low lying quays and streets.
This evening's high tide is just after 5.30pm and the Council is appealing to motorists to proceed with caution.
Home and business owners on Morrison’s Quay, French’s Quay and Lavitt’s Quay are urged to take the usual precautions with the Council advising that flood waters could potentially reaching South Terrace, Rutland Street, Sawmill Street and South Mall.
