Crews rushed to Camden Quay last night after the small dog's cries were heard by a member of the public.
A firefighter from the Swift Water Rescue team was lowered into the water with a stretcher and lifted back up again with the dog.
A tweet on the Fire Service's twitter page said the dog was very cold and scared but is on her way to making a full recovery.
