Clean Coasts Ireland are encouraging everyone to play their part in keeping Cork's beaches and coasts clean this bank holiday weekend.
The Clean Coasts programme was founded in East Cork but is now nationwide.
They work with over 1,800 communities and 37,000 volunteers to help protect Ireland’s waterways and coastline by organising hundreds of voluntry beach clean-ups each year, and removing large quantities of litter.
They are encouraging everyone to enjoy Cork's wonderful coast, but also to use the opportunity to do a 2-Minute-Beach-Clean and properly dispose of litter they find on the beach.
