The weather looks set to turn colder over the coming days.
Met Eireann says today's likely to mark the end of a mild spell where temperatures were above normal for this time of year.
Forecaster Matthew Martin says a notable change is on the way.
"We saw temperatures over the last two weeks around 2-3 degrees above the mean, that was quite exceptional.
"Temperatures over the next few days are going to be much colder than that so it will be very noticeable.
"Temperatures will be 1-2 degrees below average, nothing too major, but it will be a big change to what we have experienced of late."
