Some progress is being reported in the demonstration at UCC as college authorities held meetings with members of UCC BDS
The group say the college is clearly feeling the pressure of their encampment which has been in place for over a week on the Quad
They say they remain hopeful that talks will continue but in the meantime are determined in their efforts to have UCC cut ties with Israeli institutions
Speaking to RedFM News Mikey Rose of UCC BDS says a further meeting with University management is scheduled for tomorrow
"The aim for us when attending any meeting is that it can push things along, we don't want to prolong this any longer than necessary. It will be interesting to see how the group does feel about what's been proposed here, there are definitely some positives but there are also areas that need us to really dig into the detail of what exactly has been suggested"
