The commemoration the mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Midleton District of An Garda Síochána takes place today.
A service in St Coleman's Cathedral gets underway at noon.
After the ceremony, Gardaí will march from the cathedral, through the town, and on to Cobh Garda Station.
Local traffic diversions will be in place, with the Lower Road in the town closed until about 5 o'clock this evening.
