Concern has been expressed about the impact strike action could have on the SouthDoc service.
Drivers attached to South Doc along with health care workers in the service are all Section 39 workers and they are currently being balloted for strike action.
The ballot comes as SIPTU has accused the Government of failing to honour a 2023 pay agreement at the Workplace Relations Commission.
Disability Minister Norma Foley has called for talks to resume at the WRC in an effort to avoid strike action and ensure workers are fairly paid:
"I'm not envisaging any other strategy at this point in time other than the strategy that will ensure everybody is around the table, and to the very best of our ability, seek a fair and appropriate pay scale for all those in this sector. It is an absolute priority. "
