Backers of the windfarm are targeting a 2026 start

The Echo reports that the farm will run from Dungarvan to Cork Harbour.

The 925 square kilometre project is backed by DP Energy Ireland, a renewable energy organisation headquartered in Cork, who specialise in wind, tidal, and solar energy.

Public consultation opened recently on the application for the proposed windfarm, with DPEI projecting a 2026 'in-the-water' start date.
