Over 65,000 passengers are expected to travel through Cork Airport this August Bank Holiday weekend.
Passenger traffic this weekend is up 5% compared with the same weekend last year, with Friday, August 2 anticipated to be the busiest day.
The airport is expecting another record-breaking year with a total of 3 million passengers expected overall in 2024.
Speaking to RedFM news, Barry Holland from Cork Airport says its a testament to the airport experience:
"All in all, they are very good signals. Growth is strong here at the airport, and we're looking to continue that growth, I's good, it's a testament, really, to the fantastic airport experience that's an offer here in Cork airport, but also the fantastic range of destinations that we have to both the UK and continental Europe".
