The airport was nominated in the 'under 5 million passengers' category and was commended for it's flexible response to Covid in terms of people, processes and premises.
The judging panel also acknowledged the airport's recovery plan including its engagement with stakeholders and the government, the speed at which they attained health accreditation and the newly launched on-site Covid testing.
Cork Airport was awarded best in category in 2017 and again last year.
This year Torino Airport in Italy won the award for it's swift response to the pandemic.
