The current period has been the busiest the aviation sector has had since the pandemic began and staff are gearing up for a busy weekend ahead of New Year's with January 2nd expected to be the busiest as people return home after the festive period
Before Christmas management at the airport were expecting around 60,000 people to pass through arrivals and departures up to January 4th
Management say all passengers should give themselves at least 90 minutes before their flight and anyone travelling with presents to use gift bags rather than wrapping paper to avoid delays going through security
