A desert storm blowing over from the Sahara has left thousands of air passengers stranded
More than 140 flights are affected by the red dust which has forced runways to close.
The Irish Travel Agents Association is advising holidaymakers to check their flight details if travelling to or from the Canaries.
It says a significant number of Aer Lingus and Ryanair flights have been cancelled.
