Cork Airport say they're operating a full schedule this morning after 22 arrivals and departures were cancelled yesterday.
An issue with the UK Airtraffic control system had a knock-on effect causing flight cancellations and delays throughout Europe.
Management at Cork Airport say some flights were cancelled this morning due to operational difficulties, but they insist that flights are now operating as normal.
Speaking to RedFM News, Niall McCarthy from Cork Airport says passengers whose flights into the Airport were cancelled yesterday will arrive at Cork today:
"So a lot of them were rebooked into flights this morning and we'll be hoping to welcome them in this morning. In terms of departing people, a lot of people managed to get away yesterday in the end, although they were delayed. A number of people overnight in the terminal, and we looked after them. We kept the food and beverage open all night and they have departed this morning largely on flights out. I suppose the emphasis we're giving is it was a UK air traffic control issue was very unfortunate. Check your airline website a very small number of flights aren't operating. But it's back to business as usual at Cork."
