A Cork broadcaster is recovering in hospital after a serious car crash in the city last Sunday.
Radio presenter Gareth O'Callaghan has told followers that he was travelling in his car on Horgan's Quay, when another car allegedly drove into the back of it - writing it off.
He is being treated in Cork University Hospital for a broken back, and a ruptured lung, among other injuries.
Units of Cork City Fire Brigade and paramedics from the National Ambulance Service had to cut the roof off of the car to remove him - after the incident at around quarter to three on Sunday afternoon.
In a statement to RedFM News, Gardaí said the 4-vehicle collision, also resulted in a man and woman in their 40s needing treatment at the scene.
His wife and daughter freed themselves from the wreck and are recovering at home from bruising and shock.
