One of the businesses flooded during torrential rain on Sunday says they are hoping to avoid being flooded for the second time in three days tonight.
The floor of the front section of the Furniture Centre in Blackpool was damaged when rainwater from higher ground flowed onto Watercourse Road and breached the door of the shop.
Businesses are preparing for potential flooding again today after Met Éireann issued an Orange Rain warning for Cork from 10pm tonight until midnight on Thursday.
The forecaster says heavy rain and thundery downpours tonight and tomorrow will lead to localised flooding.
Speaking to RedFM News, Evelyn Barry from the Furniture Centre in Blackpool says they are hoping that a new drain will help to protect the shop.
