A status yellow wind warning has been issued for the entire country from tomorrow evening with coastal flooding a possibility.
It will be place from 9pm on Wednesday until midnight on Thursday.
Meanwhile Cork City Council has issued a flood risk warning for tomorrow.
The local authority says there's a risk some roads and parking areas along low-lying quays in the city centre may suffer localised flooding during high tides
Areas such as South Terrace, Morrison's Quay, Fr Matthew Quay, Trinity Bridge, Union Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, Wandesford Quay, Frenche's Quay, Crosses Green, Lavitt's Quay, Kyrl's Quay are among those likely to be affected.
Traffic restrictions may be in place at these locations, during these times.
High tides that could bring flooding are likely to be at ten to seven tomorrow evening and shortly after 7am on Thursday morning.
