Cork City Council has been named local authority of the year.
The Council also won awards for health and wellbeing, enhancing the urban environment and heritage and built environment.
The projects involved initiatives that allowed children to participate in sports during the pandemic, transforming the city centre into a people-first amenity without cars, and providing nine sheltered housing apartments by renovating two derelict townhouses on Shandon Street.
Chambers Ireland hosted the awards which are sponsored by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
